Iraqi Refugee Wins JCU's Outstanding Scholarship
A women refugee from Iraq has been awarded a prestigious scholarship by James Cook University. The then 10 year old Huda Ammar arrived in Australia under the federal government's humanitarian program in 2003. Ms Ammar completed Year 12 last year and is now enrolled at JCU studying Occupational Therapy as a first year student.
