UOW Dean finalist in Classical Music Awards
The Dean of the Faculty of Creative Arts at the University of Wollongong, Professor Andrew Schultz, was declared a finalist in the 2006 Classical Music Awards for his composition, Journey to Horseshoe Bend.
The composition, first performed in 2006, earned a nomination in the 'Vocal or Choral Work of the Year' Award. The piece has drawn wide critical acclaim as a great Australian cultural icon. Professor Schultz's music has been broadcast nationally and has received many awards.
The winners of the Awards were announced live on ABC Classic FM on Monday the 7th of August.
